EastLink:
Media Mechanics were engaged by Eastlink to create an online promotion to kick off Season 5 of Mad Men.
The Challenge
Eastlink wanted to leverage its television content through a social media campaign. The goal was to notify fans that the show was moving to a new date and time and that it would be starting with a two-episode premiere. This was done through a social media promotion that would also serve to increase fan numbers and engagement on their new Facebook page.
The Approach
We developed a contest to win a Mad Men prize package. The contest was housed on the show’s new Facebook page and we created a custom Facebook App for the Mad Men trivia contest to drive visitors to the page. Entries to win the prize package were awarded based on engagement methods such as likes and shares via email and other social channels.
The Results
The campaign succeeded in meeting Eastlink’s objectives to inform viewers of the new date and time for the premiere and increase engagement and sharing of the Facebook fan page throughout the contest.
